We present a new method to obtain periodic conformal parameterizations of surfaces with cylinder topology and describe applications to architectural design and rationalization of surfaces . In this paper, quadrilateral discretization of freeform surfaces is studied with the focus of material properties. the possibility of utilizing quadrilateral meshes with limited non planarity is explored.
