Supporting Positive Behavior Artofit Supporting positive behavior in continuous learning environments – part two. the second segment begins where the first leaves off, by discussing the functions of behavior and how to identify them and intervene early. We analyzed the data using a directed content analysis and organized the themes around the three key dimensions of personal development, relationships, and institutional culture. within each of these dimensions, we identified subthemes that facilitated or impeded student learning and faculty work. A supportive environment is characterised by relationships of trust and respect between students and teachers, and among students. it is one in which students are motivated, supported and challenged and have a positive attitude towards their learning. In the following sections, you will learn how to collaborate with others to conduct a functional behavioral assessment and how to implement specific positive behavioral interventions.

In the following sections, you will learn how to collaborate with others to conduct a functional behavioral assessment and how to implement specific positive behavioral interventions. The behaviour policy outlines expectations for good behaviour as well as consequences for unacceptable behaviour. it also describes systems for recognizing positive behaviour like reward time and praise. the anti bullying policy provides guidelines for preventing and addressing bullying. Helping students to mentor and support the learning and behaviour of others for all students, the opportunity to lead, to be an expert, and to teach and support others helps them to build self esteem and be seen by others as capable, responsible, and having valuable skills and knowledge to ofer. An effective strategy that contributes to a positive classroom tone is to ignore the inappropriate behaviour (not the student, the behaviour) and provide acknowledgement to another student nearby who is meeting the classroom expectations. For the families who are often recieving "negative" phone calls home, hearing a positive thing from school can be a breath of fresh air. ideally, students will be made aware that you contact home.
