Evening all, firstly, i realize this issue gets ran over a good few times here, but i still haven't managed to glean the info i was hoping for. so, if you will suffer my questions, i would appreciate your advice and experience. i have a 2012 2ltr turbo diesel forester, 233000km, here in ireland. Subaru has a few models that have issues with the diesel dpf and the fact that most people do short drives does not help the fact and you will get dpf issues with the light flashing or higher fluid usage. We have a fleet of trucks that routinely block their egr coolers and dpfs due to idling all the time to run a pto, the maintenance is a headache. we run them through an ultrasonic cleaner with a nasty ass chemical concoction as many times as it needs. At this stage i think you need to get a dpf force regeneration done and have the various settings reset with an applicable obd2 service tool. thank you seagrass for taking the time to reply. well it matters because if the ash accumulation is at 100% there's nothing to do other than flush or replace. so i'm kinda hoping it's not accurate.
