Houston Foresight Produces On The Horizon Special Issue Student Needs A key theme we identified in exploring emerging student needs out to 2025 is that while we might have interesting debates at what skills would be most important, a “constant” would be the need for re skilling. Student needs 2025 is a six month project in which twenty university of houston faculty, alumni, and students are using houston’s framework foresight process to produce forecasts of future student needs and identify the implications and issues they suggest for higher education.

Sponsor annual “deep dive” explorations on specific domains related to student needs, focusing one of the nine emerging needs at a time or issues relating to the needs, such as an exploration of specific job types or titles likely to rise or fall in the future.
