Still Exploring Future Dvm Students Prospective student tours are scheduled at 3 pm on select mondays and fridays throughout the year. tours of the college are provided by the veterinary ambassadors, students who are enrolled in the professional curriculum. tours are limited in size and individuals are advised to sign up early. This qualitative study utilized photo elicitation, a visual and narrative research method, to explore the personal, emotional, and professional “whys” of 14 veterinary students pursuing a doctor of veterinary medicine (dvm) degree.

Deciding how and what future veterinary students learn is a much bigger task than in days of old. why? because of the exponential growth in interconnectedness, knowledge, and technology, the realities of modern stressors, and even the differences in younger generations from those of the past. Programs like ffa (future farmers of america) and 4 h are incredibly valuable for future pre vet students. they help you build: hands on animal experience responsibility and consistency leadership skills confidence working with different species you might have opportunities to: raise and care for animals participate in competitions learn about agriculture and animal health take on leadership.
