Respect To Connect Undoing Stigma National Harm Reduction Coalition This is an intermediate level workshop intended for social service and health care professionals, counsellors, social workers, school personnel, and anyone seeking a better understanding of the harm reduction framework. Participants will gain insights into various programs, examine policies, and access recommended resources essential for a well rounded understanding of harm reduction. additionally, we’ll equip you with effective advocacy strategies to navigate the landscape. Join a community of individuals committed to ending the stigma around addiction and become a certified anti stigma instructor for 3 years! training on science and fundamentals of addiction stigma to understand and measure stigma in your organization jurisdiction. This workshop is intended for professionals working in organizations that provide sexual health, harm reduction and or sexually transmitted and blood borne infection (stbbi) related care, including front line service providers, managers, and other stakeholders.
Respect To Connect Undoing Stigma National Harm Reduction Coalition Join a community of individuals committed to ending the stigma around addiction and become a certified anti stigma instructor for 3 years! training on science and fundamentals of addiction stigma to understand and measure stigma in your organization jurisdiction. This workshop is intended for professionals working in organizations that provide sexual health, harm reduction and or sexually transmitted and blood borne infection (stbbi) related care, including front line service providers, managers, and other stakeholders. This workshop will introduce the concepts of social inequalities faced by people who use drugs, the stigma they experience, and how this impacts their ability to access services. This 45 minute on demand session from the asam 56th annual conference addresses integrating harm reduction, reducing stigma, and the role of interprofessional teams with lived experience in providing person centered addiction care in the hospital. In this panel discussion, we will examine alternative harm reduction strategies for addressing substance use, mental health challenges, and risky behaviors among young people in our congregational settings.
