Statement On Educational Equity Education Evolving Practically speaking, our organization’s focus on advancing equity is on two levels: the what of equity. we created our principles of student centered learning, which guide all of our work, with a lens of equity. Our organization’s vision is that all students have opportunities for student centered learning, which we define as learning designed based on each individual student’s needs. when fully implemented, student centered is thus, by definition, equitable learning.
Statement On Educational Equity Education Evolving Two overarching conclusions made in this article are that (1) the oecd’s position on equity in education has changed over the past three decades and that (2) the oecd’s evolving focus on equity in education is a reason why education systems around the world are including equity as a priority policy aim. Governments and education policy makers are increasingly concerned with equity and inclusion in education due to several major global trends such as demographic shifts, migration and refugee crises, rising inequalities, and climate change. Drawing on recent research, international frameworks, and case studies, the article explores policy reforms related to funding equity, curriculum development, teacher training, disability. Students have flexibility in when and where they learn within the school, as well as places outside of school (at home, out in community, at local businesses, etc.) and times beyond the typical school day and year. The office of the vice provost for educational equity serves as a catalyst and advocate for penn state's culture of equity, respect, and belonging initiatives. educational equity's vision is a penn state community that is an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. This question — and the unwavering belief that this vision is possible — is why the center for leadership and educational equity exists. we work with educators to move educational equity from a vision to a reality in their schools.
