Springfield Nativity Pageant Join us for the springfield nativity pageant! experience the magic of community and faith this holiday season. bring your family and friends to witness a beautiful celebration of joy and togetherness. It is presented by an all volunteer cast in narration form along with accompaniment by a community choir and live animals including camels and is all outdoors. the pageant will be presented each. “this is a gift from our community.” over 200 volunteers combine their talents to make this pageant a success year after year. only one time in those 32 years has the weather forced the pageant to be cancelled. the pageant is held at riverside park, home of the springfield tigers football team. The springfield nativity pageant re enacts the story of “the first christmas” in the outdoors with an all local cast representing the characters of the nativity, a live manger scene including camels, special lighting and music, featuring a community chorus.

The christmas story is one of “good news and great joy” and that beautiful story will be retold in a live nativity pageant december 6 7 in springfield. the pageant will be performed outdoors under the stars with one performance at 7:00 p.m. each evening. See the nativity come to life at this annual, outdoor presentation. local actors bring you the sights and sounds of the christmas story, with joseph, mary, and baby jesus in a live manger scene, with real camels, dancing angels, and more. Enjoy three beautiful outdoor scenes set in ancient bethlehem with biblical characters, inspiring music, and recorded narration from the scriptures. your journey along wheelchair accessible paths and ramps will take approximately 30 minutes. when your journey is complete, enjoy some free hot chocolate and tour the beautiful grounds of the temple. 39th annual live nativity pageant at 6 pm on saturday, december 13, 2025 & sunday, december 14, 2025 on the springfield area community center grounds. bleacher seating available. pageant is 40 minutes and was voted the “ best of minnesota live nativity ” by wcco television viewers in 2017.
