I've gone in both directions. sometimes i'll sample into the 202 to add some grit, then put those samples on the sx to construct the beat. other times, i'll write a full beat on the sx, then sample it into the 202 to add grit or filter, or downpitch, the whole thing. play around, you can't go wrong with the sx 202 combo. What interface are you using? is it just usb and not thunderbolt? what's the daw and are you using the interface's recommend drivers? be certain it's actually the 202. test it with the phones out into a pair. if it is the 202, are you sure your samples are trimmed with no blank space? once we're past this, it gets way more technical reply reply.
