Snipe Class Join the snipe class! serious sailing, serious fun. the snipe is a two person dinghy that brings the well balanced class motto “ serious sailing, serious fun ” to life at every regatta. it’s a class we can grow old in, with age appropriate challenges and opportunities for every generation. The snipe class international racing association (scira) is the governing body for the snipe class in the sport of sailing, recognized as an international class by world sailing.

Class Rules Snipetoday Snipe Class International The snipe is a 15 1 2 foot, 2 person, one design racing dinghy with a rich history. designed by william crosby in 1931, it has evolved into a modern, tactical racing dinghy with fleets around the world. The snipe is a 15'6" two person international class racing dinghy sailed in 26 countries around the world. racing opportunities range from local club regattas to national and international championships. class management is through the snipe class international racing association (scira).
