Slightly Loping Idle Subaru Outback Forums Hi all. my car has begun a "slightly loping idle" and i can't quite pin down why. what would you first clean check to remedy this?. There are numerous posts about vehicles deveoping this odd vibration when stopped in drive after replacing axle half shafts with aftermarket units. the proper idle speed range should be listed on an underhood sticker. that is not odd.

The two originals seemed about the same, giving a loping idle and random jumps to 3krpm but the replacement part was even worse. tried cleaning all but some of them got even worse.
