Simple Sawmill Setup Homesteading Forum This is my sawmill set up, it doesn't get much simpler and cheaper. i modified my old alasken sawmill toadd the v wheels, bought two pieces of angle iron and stuck it on my car trailer. I'm currently working on setting up an old homemade circle sawmill. it was made and used locally. after clearing a spot on our property, building out a pad, and finally getting blocks made, i was able to do a rough placement. now to get the motor unit in place and fine tune shimming.
