The ndlsd section 106 team, led by civiltech’s jen hyman, p.e., included experienced historians julia bachrach and liz patterson. the team, which included five other researchers, logged thousands of hours of investigation and documentation over several years to complete the hpi report.
Ndlsd History Ndlsd In september of 2022, the state historic preservation office (shpo) approved the section 106 historic properties identification (hpi) report for civiltech’s north dusable lake shore drive. The proposed improvements within the ndlsd corridor require a federal level environmental review under the national environmental policy act (nepa) as well as consultation under section 106 of the national historic preservation act (nhpa). Since the ndlsd study aims to use federal aid highway program funds, as administered by the federal highway administration (fhwa), it is subject to compliance with section 106.
