True so i've had my cereus peruvianus for about 4 years, it's now almost as tall as me and has flowered a few times. it's been doing great but then the other day i noticed it looking very pale and skinny. it's been really hot here lately, hottest feb on record with several days above 40 degrees celsius (australian summer). it usually gets full sun an watered at least once a week with the rest.
Cactus I'm inspired by this cactus i saw in lima. is there a way to shape this sort of cactus to grow in this sort of way, or do you just get lucky?. I think one of my cacti has root rot so ive stopped watering it for not but i need to know if im actually able to save it. The bottom of a cactus is generally yellowish since it's underground and doesn't receive sunlight. yellow or browning is only an indication of rot if it spreads above and is also accompanied by a mushy texture. this cactus seems fine. simply repot it in gritty fast draining material and care as normal. keep it in a sunny location. I’ve had this cactus for years and i went away to college my mom had one task which was to keep my plants alive and he’s looked really healthy up until now when i come home from graduation. 169k subscribers in the cactus community. reddit's largest and most active community dedicated to the cactaceae family!.
