The risk and safety team is committed to ensuring our campus community has the tools needed to make active safety choices and minimize risks in our research areas, academic programs, operational and administrative units, student affairs, campus events and neighborhood environment. Ucor's workforce was awarded doe's vpp star status, a designation given to only the safest organizations in the doe complex. the company has an impressive safety record of more than 8.5 million hours extending over the past three years without a lost workday away case. The award recognizes ucor’s commitment to keeping our workers safe as they do high hazard work. ucor’s strong safety culture delivers injury and illness rates that are at least 75% lower than the industry average. ucor is a multi year repeat winner of the star of excellence.
