Music Rumble 1 Records Arcudi uses this new #1 to fill in latecomers like me on the labyrinthine history of the series’ main character, rathraq, as well as what his supporting cast has been up to since his apparent disappearance, presumably around the end of the last volume. Rumble#1 offers an original concept and and a possibly iconic new character to the horror comic genre. equally fun, terrifying and funny, this first issue shows a lot of potential for an on going series.

Billed as a “louis c.k. sketch directed by david fincher” rumble #1 is a brilliantly fun début that manages to mix some huge cosmic ideas with a very grounded and funny story. it’s a really strong star to a comic that’s simply bursting with personality. Here’s my answer: rumble. arcudi is joined by bprd regulars artist james harren and colourist dave stewart who both produce fine looking pages but the writing is bog standard!.
