Role Of Augmented Reality In Stem Education Augmented reality (ar) creates an innovative method for colleges to display interactive digital content on actual environments thus generating potential progress in student learning and retention of complex stem concepts. Abstract this study presents a systematic review of the literature on the use of augmented reality technology to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (stem) learning. it synthesizes a set of 28 publications from 2010 to 2017. Augmented reality is transforming stem education by enhancing engagement and understanding through immersive experiences, interactive models, and real world applications, despite challenges like cost and teacher training. In this study, a meta analysis of 33 studies published in eight ssci journals of educational technology between 2010 and 2023 found that ar had a moderate impact (es = 0.586) on student achievement in stem fields, and the overall impact tended to increase gradually over time across years.

Limited literature focuses on the recent trends of xr within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (stem) education. thus, this paper presents an umbrella review that explores the exploding field of xr and its transformative potential in stem education. This systematic review analyzed 42 articles on augmented reality (ar) in stem education, revealing its growing significance. ar enhances educational outcomes, including increased student motivation and engagement in stem subjects. This study aimed to systematically investigate the studies in which augmented reality (ar) was used to support science, technology, engineering and mathematic (stem) education. In conclusion, augmented reality is revolutionizing stem education by making complex concepts more accessible, interactive, and engaging. it provides students with practical, hands on experiences that enhance their understanding and problem solving skills.
