Ripple Creative Ireland Programme Creative ireland works to ensure that all irish people have the opportunity to realise their full creative potential. we support creative programmes that inspire and transform people, places and communities through creativity. The ripple project was funded under the government of ireland's creative ireland programme, with support from mayo county council, and was coordinated between ballina green towns, ucd centre for irish towns, local artist rionach ní néill, and the community of greenhills estate, ballina.
Ballina Ripple Creative Ireland Programme We are excited to announce that ripple, a project submitted by creative ireland climate action on behalf of ucd centre for irish towns and the wider ripple team, has been selected as a finalist for the new european bauhaus prize. Ripple project created a climate friendly amenity which includes a haven for wildlife, a tree nursery for local oaks, vegetable beds and a nature based play area. Ripple: making connections between water and climate change in our towns, funded by creative ireland, aimed to co create a novel approach to the design of climate resilient green space in an irish town, and develop tools that could be scaled up and out across pro jects and communities. The creative ireland programme is a 5 year all of government programme which places creativity at the centre of public policy. the core proposition of the creative ireland programme is that participation in cultural and creative activity promotes individual, community and national wellbeing.
