Rime By Tim Lebbon Book Review Happy Goat Horror It’s a (very creative) retelling of the rime of the ancient mariner, by samuel taylor coleridge. at 72 pages, this is by no means an epic tome, but the ideas explored and the lasting impact of this book are gargantuan, at least to me. The book shifts back and forth from the present to the past. the main character has a mind that seems to wander. it's a short read and i did like it. initially, i was bothered by the ending, but after thinking it over, i ended up liking it. i received a review copy of this ebook from endeavour press and netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I’m here today to review the latest great british horror anthology from black shuck books – one of my favourite indie presses of all time. the quality of their work speaks for itself… but i’m gonna bleet on a bit about it anyway. Rime – by tim lebbon – book review this is mostly a non spoiler review – and by mostly, i mean i have to give away one fairly huge detail in order to talk about the book, because it’s related to the story telling mechanics. From acclaimed author mia dalia comes a propulsive, character driven horror novel that’s a chilling blend of high tech utopia, isolation, and catastrophic consequences.

I write horror, fantasy, and now thrillers, and i've been writing as a living for over 8 years. i've won quite a few awards for my original fiction, and i've also written tie in projects for star wars, alien, hellboy, the cabin in the woods, and 30 days of night. I'm at a loss to review this, as i really wanted to like it. a 70 page short story in which a man panics on a space ship, causes a humanitarian disaster and gets put on the first offender program. Tim lebbon’s inspired reworking of the themes of samuel coleridge’s rime of the ancient mariner is a thought provoking short read. it resituates the mariner in deep space, on board an ark heading for a new world after the earth has been devastated. Alone, all alone, alone on a wide, wide sea… adrift in space, a gigantic freighter, cradle, carrying seventeen million souls makes its slow journey across the universe. they are in search of a new home, a ‘goldilocks’ planet to sustain human life after the decimation and downfall of planet earth.
