As is lizzy’s wont, he shows he can still craft a rocking, catchy ditty right off the bat with the killer title track. it’s actually one of his best songs, with a driving tempo, more hooks than pinhead and an ever so slightly malevolent energy that screams obsessive stalker.

Though it has been eleven years, this album does not sound like a release in order for some washed up artist to try and test the waters again to determine his relevancy. My midnight things may be a little too lighthearted for some hardened metal fans, but those already acquainted with lizzy borden’s classic theatrics won’t be alienated by it. With artists like judas priest and saxon roaring back to greatness with jaw dropping new albums released this year, i was hoping that lizzy borden would do the same and unleash a killer heavy metal album that would stand up to anything he'd put out before.
