Review Betrayer
Betrayer Review It starts promising and gets better in the final act, but the bulk of betrayer's journey is let down by inconsistent quality, repeat enemies, and investigative drudgery. Summary betrayer washes you ashore in the new world in 1604, where you’re expecting to join a struggling english colony on the virginia coast. instead you find only ghosts and mysteries in a land drained of color and life.
Review Betrayer We revisit blackpowder games' betrayer, an unconventional first person horror game that hit steam's early access program in 2013. Betrayer is beautiful and brave, going almost toe to toe with big name action games despite its humble indie origins, but despite a clutch of great ideas it becomes a bit of a grind in its latter half. Without ruining the plot, the theme is that you arrive on land after a ship wreck. you meet a girl, and shortly thereafter you are unraveling the secrets of what happened to the inhabitants of the island. the story is overall told very well, however one of the big downsides is the last reveal. Summary betrayer is a first person action adventure game where the player must solve the mystery of what happened to a colony in 17th century virginia. Betrayer’s unique setting, style, and grim stories that pepper the journey all make this a game that’s eye catching at first glance and briefly emotional. but the things you actually do in this world rarely come across as anything other than uninspired. The colorless world of betrayer is home to an intriguing mystery, tense atmosphere, and inconsistent enemies. Betrayer starts with a guttural roar and concludes with a whimper. it loses most of its surprises and psychological scares and eventually descends into a monotonous list of chores. still, i can't say i regret my time with the game, even though i am ultimately disappointed by its wasted potential.
