We are the uk’s only down’s syndrome research charity. our vision is a long, healthy, happy life for people with down’s syndrome (ds) and their families. the foundation is a charity born out of a parent’s love and a passion for the very best evidence based interventions.

Background: parental experiences of prenatal testing and receiving a down syndrome diagnosis for their child are impacted by the quality of information and support available. we explored the care experiences of mothers living in great britain who received a prenatal or postnatal down syndrome diagnosis. Our research explores how children with down syndrome develop and learn, and identifies more effective teaching approaches and therapies. we have a unique focus and a successful track record spanning over 45 years.
