Regional Lab Improved Paths Towards Environmental Peacebuilding The objective of this lab was to design a strategy to empower local communities by creating a collaborative mechanism and maintaining a repository of local grassroots knowledge, expertise and civil society support. This site serves both as the home page for the environmental peacebuilding association® (also known as enpax®), and as a repository for a wide range of information on environmental peacebuilding.

Regional Lab Improved Paths Towards Environmental Peacebuilding The global diplomacy lab (gdl) looks back on 10 successful years in cooperation with its leading partners. this phase concluded on 31 december 2024. since then, gdl members have maintained the momentum and impact, while looking for new operational partners. We offer technical expertise to help transform local and transboundary conflicts over natural resources and the environment into opportunities for confidence building, cooperation, and joint benefit. The lab in ljubljana examined new pathways to integrate peacebuilding and climate security from the perspective of interdisciplinary engagement, public diplomacy, civil society participation and proactive grassroots efforts. The lab has been at the forefront of fostering innovation and partnerships to address the complex challenges posed by climate change and human mobility in the asia and the pacific region.

In this article, we examine whether the concept of environmental peacebuilding can be used in contexts where violence is not a major issue, and for other purposes such as to sustain a peace agreement and reduce the existential threat of climate change. The first introduces the participants, the methodology and a glossary of terms (including environmental peacebuilding, socio environmental conflict, community governance and slus). The goal of achieving a ‘green peace’ is to promote environmental peacebuilding by integrating green economy, green governance, and green environment activities in conflict afected areas, with a focus on regions recovering from the influence of al shabaab in somalia.
