Maintaining student engagement remains a challenge, effective strategies to improve student engagement such as interactive elements, like discussion forums and multimedia resources, alongside adequate instructor student interactions, were critical in improving both engagement and performance. Research suggests that one to one interaction between student–instructor in online courses is a key component of student learning and course satisfaction (thurmond, wambach, connors & frey, 2002). To strengthen the quality of interpersonal interactions (teacher student and student student interactions), empowering instructors and qualifying them is significant, considering their critical role in developing, maintaining, and facilitating the interaction of online classes. In this chapter, part of a research project developed over three years (2005 07) is presented. its main objective consisted in describing the relationship between the quality of interaction in asynchronic discussion forums and the quality of learning achieved in experiences of e learning formation. Abstract: online learning is a necessary teaching method for higher education institutions to cope with future unpredictable events. this study aims to investigate the impact of four forms of perceived quality in online interaction on the satisfaction of international students.
