Publications Cbs Buddhist Studies To date, volumes in the series have covered textual, historical, and art historical phenomena, and have focused on east, south, and southeast asian buddhist traditions. the series is distributed for the group in buddhist studies by the institute of east asian studies. Their work reflects the methodological diversity and scholarly depth of current research at the gcbs and contributes to ongoing debates in buddhist and chinese studies. below, we briefly present each publication in turn.

Catherine dalton shared her knowledge and experience of translating buddhist scripture, and to dr. julia stenzel discussed her research on a core concept of buddhism – compassion. Born and raised in singapore, he received his ma in east asian studies from harvard university, and his phd in history from cornell university. he is currently working on his book manuscript, entitled diaspora's dharma: buddhism and modernity across the south china sea.
