In the spring semester, the buckley institute revived the beacon, buckley’s student run publication, to pro vide a platform for alternative perspectives on campus. The buckley institute is proud to present our annual report on faculty political diversity at yale. In 1951, he published his first book, god and man at yale, exposing the intellectual conformity and dogmatism of yale’s increasingly secularist, left wing climate. This year’s conference, “the future of american conservatism: buckley’s centennial and beyond,” recognizes the 100th anniversary of buckley’s birth and will highlight his lasting impact on america’s conservative movement.
