(wvir) friday night, november 29, the charlottesville community was invited to attend the rotunda planetarium public viewing night. this idea came from thomas jefferson’s envisioned planetarium, which was turned into a projection in 2019 by three uva students. Join us for a free public viewing of the rotunda’s projected planetarium, where the dome room ceiling transforms into the night sky exactly as it appeared in 1827.
