This article explores the concept of inclusive learning communities (ilcs) by combining theoretical perspectives with practical school based case studies. This paper presents the endeavr program, an innovative and effective higher education approach to interdisciplinary, project based service learning for addressing emerging challenges associated with smart and connected communities. By combining community based learning, which emphasizes collective strengths and shared experiences, with social collaboration, which fosters dialogue and cooperative problem solving, the model seeks to enhance students’ adaptability while addressing systemic challenges. The activity is also intentionally named a “student led seminar” to emphasize student centeredness and responsibility given to students to guide each other’s learning.
