Projects Himalayan Nature Selected case studies will be evaluated using the globally recognised iucn global standard on nature based solutions, and the top submissions will be featured in a publication to be shared with diverse stakeholders. By collaborating with local communities, we investigate best ways to preserve their indigenous culture and traditions, protect endangered species, and promote sustainable practices in the himalaya. by collaborating and donating, you become part of this meaningful effort. Home Himalayan Nature From the vibrant streets of the netherlands to the historic heart of paris, and the charming towns of belgium, our work inspires change and connects people with the urgent need to protect the himalayas. explore these moments captured during our global outreach. The objective of the programme was to prepare 200 ‘green rhinos’ (rhino symbolizes the determination with positive arrogance) who will guide others to take care of nature and biodiversity. By partnering with 28 local villages, the project empowers women and youth with ecological training and sustainable livelihood opportunities while restoring the threatened flora and fauna in the region. We are a diverse community, all working towards a vision where species on the brink of extinction in southeast asia are protected and thriving alongside people. our programmes are centred around our core aim of catalysing and accelerating asap species conservation. The project focuses on ‘conserving biodiversity, restoring landscapes and fostering human well being in the indian himalayan region’ and the goal is “biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation halted and reversed in the project locations”. Just 38.5% of annual nature finance needs are met, but unep’s new report tells a story of hesitation, not failure cop30 deforestation policy 13.04.26 how a global roadmap can meet the promise to halt deforestation deforestation policy 07.04.26 environmental organizations submit joint recommendations to shape global roadmap to end.
