Project Icarus Dev Blog The prospector is a full character editor for icarus, and as of today it's live on the portal. upload your characters.json, and you get access to everything about your character. This week, we worked on planning out what we will work on for the next three weeks in order to have a playable game. first, we wrote down a list of tasks that we thought were necassary for a playable game. then, after cleaning up asana, we entered them into asana with due dates.
Icarus Dev Tracker Devtrackers Gg So, i haven't posted a devlog in a while, but i made some major updates to the game. the introduction contains some of these updates, and i'm currently remastering a few maps to match the new character aesthetics. as part of my personal project, i am currently reworking some story details and changes. So the game has been a great issue lately. been trying to implement some new improvements. now we have. one actor battle system; one ending; another ending on the works; 42 maps; remaking old maps. this project is taking too long. anyway, yeah thats for today. get project icarus download now. Icarus has 3 onboard sensors: imu, magnetometer, and barometer. for now i’m only using the imu for sensor fusion, but i’m planning on using the magnetometer in the future as well (the barometer is kind of a bonus). We're hoping people will get so intrigued as to what project icarus is, that they'll scan the code and look into us more, and hopefully sign up to our newsletter. last but certainly not least, we've updated our website to include many different ways for you guys to alleviate some of the work. All objects in icarus use meshes. some of these meshes include bones that can be moved to perform animations. these are called skeletal meshes. in this update we’re introducing an optimization on many skeletal meshes so the frequency of when their animations are initiated is drastically reduced.
