Faculty Development Program Pathways is a new career development workshop designed for thriving clinicians looking to deepen their academic focus. tailored for late assistant and early associate professors, the program offers guidance on building a niche in medical education, clinical research, and or quality improvement. This series will feature topics applicable to all faculty who teach in the md undergraduate program, postgraduate medical education, and health professional programs. The center has been offering a wide range of fd programs (fdp) for educational development of medical teachers since its foundation. Each year six medical faculty were selected to attend the stanford faculty development program for training as clinical teaching seminar facilitators. These practical guidelines frame faculty development within the context of offering formal longitudinal programs inclusive predominately of skills building in teaching and research, with a target audience of primarily physician faculty in undergraduate and graduate medical education programs.
