Prep School Stem Week 2023 Teesside High School Prep school children were very busy last week, exploring many areas of stem and completing a host of challenges to broaden their knowledge and understanding of what can be achieved through these subjects. The children in the prep school enjoyed the return of our annual stem week. this year we followed the theme of ‘time’, set to coincide with british science week. The week before the easter holiday, the children in the prep school enjoyed a busy stem week. this year, we focused on the theme of our diverse planet and this certainly gave us a lot of food for thought. These examples are by no means exhaustive but provide an insight into some of the children’s learning during our stem week and the variety of opportunities that the children have been given to broaden their horizons.

We are super excited for the huge range of activities our prep school pupils will be able to get involved as part of stem week next week! stem week promotes the subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics and the myriad of opportunities within these fields. This week has seen a number of activities being held for stem week including construction challenges, circuit building and some very special guest speakers. our intrepid explorers in year 7 and 8 returned from their stem space camp in belgium on tuesday morning. Who: the annual competition is open to high school students in grades 9 12 (ages 14 19). each team will have five students from the same school or organization; one adult team advisor is required. when: the finals for 2025 run from july 20 26, 2025. The theme for british science week 2026, ‘curiosity: what’s your question?’, is all about encouraging people to embrace their passions, find the answers to their most burning stem questions.
