Poverty Of Attention In this article, we analyze whether the financial strain of poverty systematically alters the allocation of attention. we address two types of attention: attention to unexpectedly occurring events and attention to primary tasks that require focus. The emergence of the attention economy has profound implications, notably the development of new forms of poverty characterized by unequal access to attention as a resource. In these analyses, we examine whether the deteriorating effect of financial scarcity related cues on sustained attentional performance increases as a person’s poverty increases (sici). Previous studies have demonstrated that poverty negatively affects cognitive performance and is associated with deficits in cortical areas or grey volumes. this study aimed to investigate the impact of poverty stereotype threat (pst) on attention bias.

Previous studies have demonstrated that poverty negatively affects cognitive performance and is associated with deficits in cortical areas or grey volumes. this study aimed to investigate the impact of poverty stereotype threat (pst) on attention bias. Recent research has shown that poverty directly impeded cognitive functions because the poor could be easily distracted by monetary concerns. we argue that this effect may be limited to functions. We examined the distinctive changes in impoverished and affluent persons during tasks that require a high level of concentration using eye tracking measures. based on the poverty effect in impoverished people, this study explored how wealth state awareness (wsa) influences them. This project examines the relationship between poverty and one behavioral bias: inattention, and explores how the condition of poverty may impact the attention of those experiencing it. They find that awareness of poverty lead to attentional shifts towards more difficult tasks for impoverished individuals, but have insignificant impact on affluent individuals.
