Polypropylene Recycling Coalition
Carbon Neutral Circular Economy The polypropylene recycling coalition is driving measurable progress in polypropylene recovery across the united states, empowering communities and facilities to capture more recyclable materials, reduce landfill waste, and strengthen markets for post consumer plastics. Established in 2020, the coalition aims to expand polypropylene recycling through grants awarded to materials recovery facilities (mrfs), secondary sorters, and reclaimers, focusing on increasing the acceptance, capture, and quality of recycled polypropylene.
Circular Economy Creating A New Path Forward Established in 2020, the washington based coalition awards grants to material recovery facilities (mrfs), secondary sorters and reclaimers to increase acceptance, improve capture and deliver higher quality recycled pp to responsible end markets. As part of our goal to convene thought leaders to uncover end of life solutions for plastics, we joined the polypropylene recycling coalition, an industry collaboration established by the recycling partnership, to improve polypropylene (pp) plastic recovery and recycling in the u.s. The polypropylene recycling coalition was established in 2020 and, similar to trp’s other material specific coalitions, awards grants to materials recovery facilities, secondary sorters and reclaimers to increase pp acceptance and improve capture. The polypropylene recycling coalition’s inaugural annual report highlights significant progress and momentum in improving the circularity of polypropylene (pp), also known as #5 plastic.
