Poly First Avenue 1stavenue online is a pilot project managed by smart e commerce centre and supported by digital business transformation centre of temasek polytechnic to test run our e commerce capabilities. 1st avenue is an on campus retail training store managed by the year 2 students from diploma in retail management (rmt). it helps to develop students' entrepreneurial acumen through hands on retailing store management.

It is a dynamic space with three unique, live and integrated technology enhanced business units: 1st avenue originals, 1st avenue omni and 1st avenue online, catering to practice based and multidisciplinary learning. 1st avenue, operated by our school of business 💼 is the first educational retail outlet to be certified ‘eco shop elite’ 🌱 by the singapore environment council (sec) !. Smec also runs an online store, 1st avenue online, which is in operation and allows purchases via computers, smartphones or an on site touch screen monitor. the centre was developed and built. It gives me great pleasure to officiate at this opening of temasek polytechnic, school of business’ 1 st avenue retail training outlet and cybershop. this is indeed a commendable effort by temasek polytechnic to complement classroom teaching with practical experience.
