Piccalilli Days 2014
Piccalilli Days 2014 More days than not i spend my mornings helping out as a teacher's assistant and my afternoons begging forgiveness from you know who. a handful of cheerios and a bunch of hugs help but it's not until the tote bag is tucked away in the closet that doggie serenity is finally achieved. My piccalilli recipe is based on gary rhodes’ version from his new british classics, although my version has evolved a little over the years. i put rather less sugar in than he suggests, and to be honest, it would probably do no harm to reduce it further.
Piccalilli Days 2014 On this 2014 visit, we headed down without any expectations of dead whales, looking forward only to exploring the tidepools to look at anemones, sea stars, and other creatures. Considering the fact that he lived his first thirty years in new jersey (go giants!) and these past 30 years in new england (go patriots!) tomorrow will be a very exciting day for him. Creating lucys and mini books in a sunny studio space is making for a delightful may. my most recent batch is visible in it's early stages here and for those of you with eagle eyes you may notice i had four little dolls in the works this time around. After after an autumn filled with more pitfalls than i could have imagined, i was amazed to have been able to pull off a st. nicolas day.

After after an autumn filled with more pitfalls than i could have imagined, i was amazed to have been able to pull off a st. nicolas day. I had spent a couple days taking photos and notes of all the steps involved in making pincushions and pin toppers. it was actually a lot of fun to do and turning a discombobulated work space like the one above. Sad to say, lucy’s days of taking journeys were long past. for many years now she had remained nestled in a woven basket along with an assortment of neglected sewing notions. her company consisted of a small community of pins and a dwindled congregation of buttons. When i began this blog 14 years ago, i was in the midst of a dream come true endeavor, running my own tea room and antique shop. i shared its day to day ad. My father often said that he felt no need to go on vacation since moving to the northwest that just watching the sky change on some days was like going on holiday. so as 2014 sinks below the horizon, here are some of the lovely skies we've seen in recent years. happy 2015!.
