Penryn college opened originally in falmouth in 1957 and was moved to its present site in 1961. since that time there has been a programme of continuous improvement, updating of buildings and of classrooms. Our motto, “achieving through challenge,” reflects our belief that with the right support and encouragement, all young people can reach their full potential. we are passionate about providing a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Members of our student council came together to reflect on what 'achieving through challenge' means to them. they recalled their primary school visions and motto's and we discussed why we can still remember them. At penryn college we believe everybody has a talent. we work with you and your child to find it and nurture it. “achievement through challenge” is a tangible part of the life and work of the college. children have inspiring learning opportunities because teachers open new worlds.
