More than 4000 family physicians responded, painting a dramatic picture of change, adaptation, and nimbleness as they respond to the early effects of this pandemic on their patients and practices. Together with our partners, we provide the next generation of family physicians and midwives the patient centred foundation to shape the future of primary care in british columbia. During the covid 19 pandemic, family physicians (fps) were called upon to provide surge capacity in settings such as hospital units and emergency departments while also maintaining their primary care responsibilities.
