Our Programs Green Communities We are proud to build upon our partnership with well. all developments that achieve certification to the 2020 or 2026 green communities criteria will automatically be recognized as certified under enterprise green communities and certified through the international well building institute. All of our capital tools, technical assistance, programs, and policy solutions are designed to make affordable housing in communities across america healthier and more prepared to withstand severe weather events.
Our Programs Green Communities My green lab is leading in sustainable scientific research with our trusted certifications, educational programs, and evidence based resources. Through our unique programs like the seedling farm, future urban farmers (fuf) vocational training, and community supported agriculture (csa), we not only grow food but grow hope, economic self sufficiency, and a stronger sense of community. We invest in green building initiatives to save on operating costs, reduce residents’ utility bills and make our community a better place to live. volunteer powered. our programs are made possible in large part by more than 2,500 volunteers each year.

In march 2023, dallas launched two initiatives to boost climate resilience: whole home dallas connects residents to resources for weatherization and energy efficiency; green job skills offers free, self paced training for construction workers in energy efficient home improvements. Green our planet connects people to the planet and to one another through hands on hydroponics and digital learning – helping students, families, and communities grow a better future together. Our vision is that young people have a strong belief in themselves, the skills and support to make excellent life choices and the resources and resilience needed to grow into healthy adults. we collaborate with community partners to educate youth and adults on the power of prevention. Lisc invests in nearly every corner of community life, building on a foundation of affordable housing to fuel healthy families and businesses, as well as growing local economies.
