Our Impact Ground Education Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves. ground ed’s outdoor programs are research informed, drawing from evidence based studies on the benefits of nature based learning. The global lessons on greening school grounds & outdoor learning project engages global leaders and practitioners to build networks of like minded organizations and individuals to identify scalable strategies and deepen our understanding of how to support the worldwide movement of schoolyard greening. Education for sustainable development (esd) is unesco’s response to the urgent challenges facing our planet. education for sustainable development empowers people with the knowledge, skills, values, attitudes and behaviors to live in a way that is good for the environment, economy, and society. 🌎 in our gardens, we celebrate world wildlife day by supporting the smallest (and busiest) members of our ecosystem 🐝 our nature paths are planted with diverse native plants like hummingbird sage, coyote brush, apricot mallow, and seasonal wildflowers — creating living habitats for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds right here at school. Our passionate educational staff creates and imparts hands on lessons appropriate for each grade level, tk 5. kids get their hands dirty while learning within and about nature while at the same time learning math, science, history, nutrition and more.
