Ovv staff and residents walked the 3.1 mile sequalitchew creek trail in dupont. we braved the rain and got to the beach right when there was a break in the weather. it was beautiful and we caught a brief glimpse of a sea lion (we think!). we are honored to be one of the 47 awardees!!. The village is located on the washington department of veteran affairs’ (wdva) beautiful soldiers home campus in orting, washington. we opened our doors in the spring of 2021. The army vet said he works with a case manager at the village. he is receiving help restoring his credit, preparing to enroll in trade school and successfully completed two job interviews.
