Spirituality and spiritual self care are vital for addressing patients’ needs, yet their meaning and scope remain poorly defined in nursing. we aimed to provide an integrative review of spiritual self care among clinical nurses. this study was an integrative review.

In this paper, the historical alignment of nursing with divinity based perspectives and modern new age nursing theories are explored. the nature of divinity in nursing is examined, together with the complexities and issues that arise in adopting a spiritual basis for care. Conclusion the findings of this study demonstrate that spiritual care cannot be reduced to the facilitation of religious practices alone; rather, it represents a holistic process encompassing nurse–patient communication, psychosocial support, personal hygiene, and sensitivity to patients’ beliefs and values.
