New Media Physical Computing This course introduces physical computing as a creative framework for investigating the connections between digital media and the physical world. students explore electronics as a creative medium in the field of new media art and design through hands on exercises and examples. New media versus cyberculture – cyberculture is the various social phenomena that are associated with the internet and network communications (blogs, online multi player gaming), whereas new media is concerned more with cultural objects and paradigms (digital to analog television, smartphones).

New Media Physical Computing This paper will detail the working principles of these embodied physical computing methods, survey the current state of the art, and present a perspective for future development. Through this exploration of physical computing projects built by integrating a cv based platform like paper playground with a microcontroller platform like micro:bit, we have begun to chart out a design space of multimodal physical computing. Art is not there to be simply understood, or we would have no need of art. In essence, physical computing is the integration of hardware and software to create interactive systems that bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds.

This research will bring attention to new possibilities for combining physical interactivity with screen based and virtual reality content created in unreal.
