Brac started its centre in 2014 for neuro developmental disable (ndd) persons, the most neglected segment of disability. now we are running five centres successfully in dhaka, pabna, gajipur, khulna and sylhet. To counter the problem, brac neuro developmental disability (ndd) centre has been opened in korail slum of dhaka, along with other parts of bangladesh jointly with brac’s health, nutrition and population programme (hnpp). Apasen international, in association with brac, has successfully completed its first phase of ndd project to improve the quality of lives of autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disable; cerebral palsy and down’s syndrome children.

The objective of the ndd centres is to help each child overcome their deficiency disability and eventually become sufficiently independent. each centre accommodates 20 25 children, supported by 4 teachers and at least 2 caregivers.
