Cerebral Symphony 5 Sci Fi Renders Of The Brain S Futuristic Neurafutures has created physical versions of props from science fiction media and analyzed over 450 movies, shows, and books in order to drive a conversation about brain computer. We analyzed 500 books, movies, tv shows to give our audience a better picture of what brain computer interfaces are and are not. from science to science fiction, from 1641’s brain in a jar to 2021’s rick and morty’s memory transfer helmet. Through her neurafutures project, she and her team have analyzed over 450 pieces of bci fi media and recreated dozens of physical models of the most famous fictional neurotechnologies. At the top of every hour, shannon and i (and sometimes nataliya) gave a guided tour of all the props: their context within their media, how they were designed, a discussion of their reality factor, relevant science and research, and questions they raise about ethics and our values in society.
