I just wanted to document my rating system somewhere since i was constantly forgetting my own scale. it’s most definitely not perfect, and i’ll be updating it along the way!. ⭐ my rating system every month i recap the things i watched and read while assigning a rating to each title. scoring is out of five stars. movies are rated in half star increments. books are rated in full star increments. movie scoring system ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = masterpiece ⭐⭐⭐⭐1 2 = near perfect ⭐⭐⭐⭐ = excellent. One thumb means that the rating applies just to me and whether or not i enjoyed something. the second thumb means that i think the enjoyment (or distaste) should be universal and that i'm proactively recommending for or against something. In general, i rate the music, not the artists. while artists being e.g. bigots does impact the rating somewhat, i'm not going to rate nsbm 0 because i despise the lyrics.
