On friday, i had my first colonoscopy! it was quite the experience, and i am going to write all about it in this post. be warned that i am going to talk a lot about bodily fluids, so if that isn’t your jam, you might want to skip it! (also, i’m sorry this post is so damn long. i had a lot to say!). My colonoscopy was scheduled at a local suburban endoscopy center affiliated with brigham and women’s, which was very convenient to have an option close to home. i was very nervous about what was about to happen, but the nurses and staff were so remarkably kind. i couldn’t have felt better cared for. This post is to journal my experience, but also serve as a small informative write up for others who are curious, or maybe anxious about the process like i was.
