Start with into the wild and basically read in publication order. if you go through the series again after that you can read in chronological order but i strongly recommend reading in publication order the first time around. Definitely start with the original six books (into the wild, fire and ice, forest of secrets, rising storm, a dangerous path, and the darkest hour). those are typically considered the best books and are the best introduction into the world since you're learning along with the protagonist.
