Does anyone have experience using a murray replacement radiator from o'reilly's auto parts? i put one in about 6 or 7 years ago and i only had two problems. they didnt have it in stock and the one they shipped in was crushed in transit. the box looked okay but all of the fins were bent flat.

I've had 2 of these radiators from orielly's spilt in the same place over a 2 1 2 year time period. the lifetime warranty is great but not worth it when your broke down an hour away from any parts store. Looking to do a cooling system overhaul on my 1992 lc… been searching the webs and see that o’reilly’s has a murray radiator part#: 431525… has anyone used this rad or have an opinion on the best replacement? any help is appreciated. My shop primarily uses o’reilly’s, so i saw a lot of murray stuff early on when i came on as shop foreman. i was unfamiliar with the product line, so i gave it a shot. 3 months in, i am actively avoiding using murray parts. i’ll accept prolonged lead times at this point.

My shop primarily uses o’reilly’s, so i saw a lot of murray stuff early on when i came on as shop foreman. i was unfamiliar with the product line, so i gave it a shot. 3 months in, i am actively avoiding using murray parts. i’ll accept prolonged lead times at this point. I replaced the radiator with a mopar oem radiator and now the coolant leaving the radiator is 150 165 at 70* with a c on. huge difference in cooling capacity (btu removal) between murry from oreilly auto and mopar from rockauto . I would call the dealership and just see what an ac delco would cost, then look it up on rock auto. i have found out the hard way that oem in most instances is worth the extra cost. If there's no leaks, overheating or any damage, i would leave it alone. that oem radiator is better in quality than chinese made replacements. i am still using the original one row radiator on my 87 f150. My son drives it everyday to work. all i can say is what i see everyday. we sell a boatload of murray products and take back very few. thanks, i was hoping you'd chime in. i figured you'd have the most weight in the conversation, and you'd tell it like it is be it good, or be it bad.
