Multidimensional Feasibility Visualisation Tool Engage The engage project proposes a novel and versatile multidimensional framework that allows evaluating and comparing decarbonization pathways by systematically quantifying feasibility concerns across geophysical, technological, economic, socio cultural and institutional dimensions. Interactive online tool that evaluates the feasibility of low carbon decarbonization pathways using a multidimensional framework. allows users to quantify social, institutional, and technical constraints, complementing integrated assessment model (iam) outputs for ipcc and policy applications.

Multidimensional Feasibility Iiasa Elina brutschin (iiasa)as stakeholder workshop16 september 2021. This online, interactive tool was developed to complement this paper and allows the user to examine this framework in more detail. The eu funded engage project used integrated assessment models to identify pathways that explicitly limit peak temperature in line with the paris agreement, and the technical, social and political challenges that must be met to effectively implement them. We show that a combination of interactive visualizations, open channel surveys and moderated breakout groups are particularly useful tools for online stakeholder engagement.

Engage has five main objectives: build a legitimate, transparent, and iterative knowledge co production process rooted in stakeholder dialogue. conceptualise and operationalise multidimensional feasibility of decarbonisation policies and pathways. This project has received funding from the european union's horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no 821371 (engage).
